Nothing fancy just a simple meal that tasted so good????????. After trying a dozen chicken curry recipes I have finally stuck to this one. It's the best.

Chicken curry with peas and potatoes
1/2 chicken washed and cut soaked in vinegar and rinsed
1/2 onion finely cubed
1 tsp Jeera
4 whole Black pepper
1 Cinnamon stick
1 Star anise
2 Dry red chilli
2 Green chilli
1 heaped tsp ginger and garlic
1 tsp ginger and garlic green chilli paste
1 Tblsp chicken marinade
1/2 tsp Tumeric
Salt to taste ( 1.5 tsp)
1 tsp kashmiri( add more if you prefer it very spicy)
1 heaped tsp dhania and jeera spice
3 potatoes steamed half way with 1/4 cup peas
3 tomatoes boiled till mushy and liquized ( this gives you it a rich and thick gravy)
2 tblspn Tomato puree
2 tblspn Tomato paste
Method
In a pan add oil with whole spices jeera, black pepper, cinnamon, star anise ,dry red chilli and green chilli. Once you get the smell of the spices add in your chicken ( I soaked the chicken on vinegar then rinsed it) with salt, tumeric and ginger and garlic. Allow to braise for 5 to 10mins then add in the balance of your spices. Allow to cook over meduim heat then add in your tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, potatoes and peas. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water and cook over meduim heat till done.
Top with coriander and serve with salad,rice and pickle.
